Faith is the most problematic of the virtues, for there seems to be so much at stake. As the book points out, we might overlook intemperance, accept lack of fortitude, or even understand the loss of hope. But as it is written in Hebrews 11:6; To lose one's faith, some would say, is to lose one's soul.
Faith has played a major role in every aspect of my life lately. My faith has pulled me through a dark period of unhappiness, physical recovery, layers of work stress, and home construction. Somewhere embedded into my soul the faith is still alive. When my sister had her kidney transplant in January I had faith that she will come through healthier than before. My faith kept me from thinking the worst in an unsure situation. I am grateful to God for the faith that he has instilled in me from birth.
Faith is a virtue we sometimes don't think about until we have to overcome something serious but we apply our faith to all aspects of our life. Faith will get you out of bed in the morning, striving for a better today or even tomorrow. Think about your day... where did your faith play a role?
